Trackday Session 1
The 24H SERIES is set to race in Kuwait for the second time in 2023 as part of the 2023/2024 Middle East Trophy. The Hankook 12H KUWAIT event will be held on 7-8-9 December and will be only the second-ever international motor race at Kuwait Motor Town. This follows a successful inaugural running of the event last year.
CREVENTIC's headline event, the annual Hankook 24H DUBAI, will be hosted at the Dubai Autodrome for the 19th year and is the season's second round. Finally, one week later, on 19-20-21 January, the 2023/2024 Middle East Trophy concludes with the Hankook 6H ABU DHABI at the Yas Marina Circuit.
The Hankook 12H KUWAIT will run continuously for 12 hours from 10:00 hrs local time on Saturday , 9 December, until 22:00 hrs. This ensures that competitors will race during the day and under the lights. Kuwait Motor Town is located less than 60 kilometers from Kuwait City and was opened in December 2018 following a reported investment of $162 million. Covering 2.5 million square meters, Kuwait Motor Town is one of the largest motorsport-dedicated facilities in the world. It boasts seven different facilities catering to nine other motor racing disciplines, including circuit, drag and dune racing, go-karts, and rally and motocross.
The Kuwait Motor Town's 5.609km Grand Prix Circuit, designed by renowned motorsport architect Hermann Tilke, features a 1,075-meter straight blast between turns one and two and a four-apex sequence at turns 12, 13, 14, and 15, inspired by the Istanbul Park venue. The venue was granted FIA Grade 1 ahead of its maiden competition season in 2019, recognizing the highest safety standards for two wheels and four.
The main grandstand alone can accommodate over 7,300 race day fans, with a further 750 VIP box seats also available overlooking the 426-meter pitlane, down which 32 "state-of-the-art" pit boxes are each equipped with air-conditioning.
