DRAG STRIP

28/02 Kuwait Roll Racing Championship

Kuwait Motor Town are running their own Kuwait Roll Racing Championship at the Drag Strip. The KMT Drag Strip is 1,240m strip, an NHRA worldwide member track.    Roll racing is a race that starts from a “roll,” meaning both vehicles start from a rolling start or anything but zero KM/H.  The quickest ET determines the winner, not first to finish or top speed. Timing begins when the vehicle crosses the starting line speed trap located 3m past drag starting line.   Registration may be available on the day unless sold out prior. You must arrive in time for registration and driver's briefing. If you are late to registration you will not be applicable to participate in the event, and you will not be refunded or credited. (Please check the schedule below).   Notes: KMT has a No-Refund policy. However, we can credit your Experience to another date of your choosing. Kuwait Motor Town Championship 2020 (Cars)

Please, read and make sure that you understand all items listed in the Terms & Conditions before you register to this event. Kuwait Motor Town are running their Cars Championship at the main circuit. The Championship will run over four rounds, using some of the configurations of the Main Circuit.   ROUND                                           DATE                                         TRACK LAYOUT      1 28TH MARCH 2020 NATIONAL 2 4TH APRIL 2020 NATIONAL WITH CAROUSEL 3 11TH APRIL 2020 GP WITH CAROUSEL 4 18TH APRIL 2020 GP GRAND FINALE   Car and Driver entry fee is 320KD for the entire championship. Entries open on Saturday the 4th of January 2020 at 12:00 PM and close on Monday the 1st of March 2020 at 11:59 PM.   Helmet hire is available for both drivers and passengers at a fee of 20KD (with a 50KD returnable deposit). Helmets are mandatory for driving on the circuit.   Driver's Briefing will take place at the scheduled time. NO second briefing will be done. No Briefing - No Drive Use of Pit Boxes (Garages) is free and will be assigned by KMT. There will be 4 cars per garage. Note: For any questions regarding the regulations please contact CoC@kmt.kw

20/02 Drift Open Day

The Drift Arena at Kuwait Motor Town has provided the perfect safe environment for drift cars to skate sideways around the track. With limited numbers, these half-day events guarantee the right amount of quality seat time.   What is Drifting? Drifting is a loss of traction driving technique that applies an understanding of speed, braking, and steering as the car slides sideways while maintaining control of the vehicle. What is Open Drift? It’s not a competition. They are organised days in which the KMT Drift Arena is provided for sideways practice. You don't need to be an expert drifter but frequently losing control of your car is frowned upon. DB’s; Donut Boxes will be set up for the novice driver to get acquainted with the art of going sideways.   Registration may be available on the day unless sold out prior. You must arrive in time for registration and driver's briefing. If you are late to registration you will not be applicable to participate in the event, and you will not be refunded or credited. KARTING

22/02 Supermoto Open Track Day

Kuwait Motor Town are running their Supermoto Open Trackdays at the Karting Circuit. Registration Requirements: All Riders must sign a waiver at registration. For Riders under 18 years, parents must sign on behalf. On-site registration (Please check the schedule below). Scrutineering and Rider's briefing will be provided after registration. 20KD from 4 pm to 9 pm (open pit).   Types of bikes allowed: -SuperMoto -Pit-Bike -Mini-GP -Super Bike (Not larger than 300cc)   Bike: Axle sliders, peg sliders are a must. We can not gouge the track. Rigid handguards, like Acerbis, Cycra are required. Gas vent lines must be routed into a catch can. Tires and brakes must be in good condition.  No visible cracks or dry-rot. Valve stems must have caps. Check for oil, fuel and coolant leaks and missing bolts/screws. All parts must be secure. No loose bolts/fasteners. Check your tire pressures. Use tire manufacturer’s recommended pressure. Headlights, turn signals, and all glass or plastic lenses must be removed or taped over. Remove mirrors. Kill-switch must be functioning, and throttle return should work smoothly without sticking or hanging up. Chain not too loose or too tight. Spoke wheels check for any loose or broken spokes. Kick-stands must be able to remain securely in the up position or be removed.  Center stands are not recommended due to clearance issues.   Body/Gear: Full face, damage-free helmet: Motocross style helmet with goggles. Gloves are required. Gauntlet style that covers the wrist is recommended. Over -the-ankle riding boots are required. One-piece or two-piece leathers that zip together.    Keep in mind that leather is the most abrasion-resistant gear.  Gear must provide full-body coverage and have reinforced/padded elbows, shoulders, knees, and spine/back areas.  Hip padding is also recommended. Back protector is highly recommended for all groups. Motocross style gear is allowed for SuperMoto bikes only. If your bike needs extra attention, take the time to get it right.  It’s better to miss a few minutes of track time than to have a problem on the track, at speed.   Pit - Things to do, not to do. This is a Cold Pit. You can push your bike to the hot pit with it running, but there is No Riding in the Cold Pit. Fueling is to be done in the dirt area, Not on asphalt.

29/02 Car Open Track Day - Powered by Lotus

Kuwait Motor Town are running their own Open Trackdays at the circuit. The track days will run on the South Circuit (2,888M) or National Circuit (4,540M) on selected days.   Car and Driver entry fee is 75KD. Extra Driver's entry fee is 45KD. All passengers are Free. Helmet hire is available for both drivers and passengers at a fee of 20KD (with a 50KD returnable deposit). Helmets are mandatory for driving on the circuit.   Driver's Briefing will take place at the scheduled time. NO second briefing will be done. No Briefing - No Drive Use of Pit Boxes (Garages) is free on a first-come, first-served basis. Maximum 2 cars per garage.   Registration may be available on the day unless sold out prior. You must arrive in time for registration and driver's briefing. If you are late to registration you will not be applicable to participate in the event, and you will not be refunded or credited.
